Noon Baloon, Noon Swoon

Noon Balloon, Noon Swoon...looking at these two phrases you might be wondering what in the heck are you talking about. They are actually two commonly used phrases in the world. The term noon balloon is used whenever a rally occurs during the day's doldrums. It doesn't however necessarily have to happen at noon - any slow mid-day hour can be labeled this. They usually happen when volume is thinnest which also means they can end just as quickly as they began. Noon swoon refers to when a sell-off occurs during the day's doldrums. Like noon balloon, it doesn't necessarily have to happen at noon - any slow mid-day hour can be labeled this, and they also usually happen when volume is thinnest which means they can end just as quickly as they began.
